so this is my dream tattoo. an owl, on the neck, thats extremely detailed.
no, im not one of those people thats all “oh this looks cool i want it.” this tattoo actually has meaning to me. when i was six years old, owls were my favorite animal. so when my seventh birthday came around, my mom asked me if i wanted to have a party with everybody we knew, and there would be real owls there. i was thrilled. there was a catch, though. instead of getting tons and tons of presents from all of the people there, i asked for checks and money. all that money is wasted on stupid toys and unnecessary gifts, all for a seven year old. so, we took all the money, and donated it to the owl and raptor re-rehabilitation foundation that came to my party. it was all owls that had been injured, and saved. this foundation is in white fish bay, and is called SANC. for 2 more years, i did this for my birthday. their was a specific owl i sponsored, named ochere. ochere the screech owl. so tiny, and precious. at an early age, i knew the right thing to do. i have raised thousands and thousands of dollars for these owls.
My twards the end of my freshman year, on April 14th, 2011, i found out that one of my friends, Rachael Salmon, had committed suicide. we were not the closest, but we were still good friends she was important to so many people.I later found out where she committed suicide was at the SANC foundation on one of their buildings.
the owl means so much to me, and really tells an amazing story and a massive part of my life. i highly doubt i will get this tattoo because of jobs, but i WILL be getting an owl tattoo.
